My passion for being a counselor stems from my belief in each person’s innate capacity for healthy growth and change. I have had the privilege of assisting children, families, teens, and adults in transforming their lives by reclaiming (and sometimes discovering) their sense of self and helping them strive to reach their goals. My current practice mainly involves working with individuals ages 13 and up. I strive to encourage my clients to pursue the freedom that is found in discovering and being their authentic selves.
In order to effectively assist clients in reaching their goals, I utilize a variety of evidence-based practices to best suit the needs of each individual client, honoring each person’s culture and preferences. I specialize in and hold an additional certificate in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).
I completed my undergraduate degree with a Bachelor’s in Psychology at the University of Missouri. I completed graduate school and received a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Indiana Wesleyan University in Indianapolis, Indiana.
My husband and I have two kids, ages 5 and 2. We love doing anything outside and exploring the beautiful state we live in.
